Usual dose of fluoxetine can be began even as low as 10mg for first 3 - 4 days. But in case of OCD high dose of fluoxetine is the norm. Dose can be titrated upto 80mg in some cases. That again depends on the symptom severity and patient tolerance towards side effects .

It's better not to take fluoxetine at night since it might disturb sleep. 20 mg morning can be taken and gradually increased. Response for OCD can vary from 40-80 mg/d but it needs to be tried for 3 months to know its effect fully.
