Physiotherapy Advice for Spondylolisthesis:
1. Monitor Exercise Response:
Some discomfort after exercise is normal, but persistent or worsening pain (especially leg cramps and hip pain) should be addressed.
Pain may indicate muscle fatigue, nerve irritation, or incorrect exercise techniques.
2. Modify the Exercise Routine:
Reduce the intensity and duration of exercises initially.
Focus on core strengthening (pelvic tilts, abdominal bracing, and gentle back exercises).
Avoid high-impact activities, forward bending, or excessive spinal extension.
3. Stretching & Mobility Exercises:
Hamstring and hip flexor stretches help reduce nerve compression.
Gentle spinal decompression techniques (like lying on the back with knees bent) can ease pressure on the spine.
4. Pain Management Strategies:
Apply heat therapy before exercises to relax muscles.
Use cold therapy after exercises if pain increases.
Dry needling, cupping therapy, and manual therapy (available at PAL Physiotherapy, Gurgaon) can help release muscle tightness and nerve-related discomfort.
5. Regular Physiotherapy & Postural Correction:
Manual therapy and postural training can improve spine alignment and reduce nerve irritation.
Ergonomic modifications at work/home can help reduce strain.
Next Steps:
If pain persists or worsens, consult a specialist physiotherapist for a detailed assessment and a personalized rehabilitation plan.

She needs proper assessment to rule out deficiencies of calcium vitamins and other things which are causing leg cramps.
Either consult online or in person with neuro physiotherapist or neurologist.
Hi, thought before a prescription it needs a thorough assessment & answer of some questions like if the pain / cramps coming in both calf’s, any numbness, foot weakness etc.
Also need to check the patient posture & type of work & nature of pain.
As per her X-ray she should start with core strengthening, spinal flexion, pelvic tilt exercises.
