Sore throat or strep throat?

Asked for Female, 16 Years

So about a weel ago or more my friend said she had strep throat. she said this on monday and came to school on Tuesday saying she was better and non contiguous. i still kept my distance for the next two days but since we play the same sport and go to the same school we are around each other alot. today the left inside of my throat started to burn

Clinically it is not possible to diagnose streptococcal pharyngitis. She might have had viral pharyngo-tonsillitis which is common contagious condition in this season and can come by aerosol route. It is a self resolving condition and you will be alright within few days
