Hi, Exclusive breast feeding for 6 months. Start weaning from 4 to 5 months. You can give Ragi or Rava porridge, Fruit puree. Mashed Banana, Vegetable Khichadi from 6 th month onwards. Go slow and easy and do not force feed.
Usualky, in such cases where the baby is not gaining weight as per the milestones, weaning is started earlier. However, you need to be sure about the level of orogress your child is making. 'looking thin' is not the right measure. Please get in touch to allow detailed assessment of your child's progress and take advice for weaning
