Small hole above anus

Asked for Male, 19 Years

I have noticed that I have a small hole above my bum crack or below my tail bone... Once it 2 months it hurts a little and then I notice there is a little blood and pus that oozes out. What is this and how serious is this? What specialist should I visit to get this cured?

Hi. Greetings. Sometimes some people have this small sinus that remains since birth and is harmless. However, if it gets infected and has discharge it needs medical attention. If it's not since birth it could be a pilodinal sinus. Pilonidal sinus is usually treated by surgeons. Hope this helps. Warm regards.
