Hello, Yes, you can. But, make sure you clean the wound properly with an antiseptic before applying anything on it. You should consider getting a dressing done along with a course of oral antibiotics if needed only after consultation with the doctor.

Keep it clean and use Betadine dressing until you see your doctor. Don’t apply antibiotic creams for now. All the best. J G S R Clinic

Yes, you can safely use Mupirocin ointment on that cut until you meet your doctor. If you notice spreading redness, fever, increasing pain, or foul smell, you may need oral antibiotics ,but using Mupirocin now is the correct first step. You are doing the right thing by starting treatment early and planning to see a doctor.

Yes, you can use Mupirocin ointment on the cut until you visit your doctor. It is safe and effective for minor skin infections and will help control bacterial growth. How to use: Wash the area gently with clean water. Pat dry. Apply a thin layer of Mupirocin 2–3 times a day. Keep it covered with a clean dressing if there is rubbing from the shoe. Also: Avoid tight shoes until healed. If you develop increasing pain, redness spreading, fever, or more pus, seek care sooner.
