Hello all,i have got a slipped disc recently
My mri reports say
Loss of lumbar lordosis with lipping the lumbar vertebrae and schmorl's nodes in the L2 and L4 vertebrae
Annular fissure superimposed with difuse posterior bulge and postero central protrusion of the l4 l5 inter vertebral disc indenting the the cal sac and bilateral transversing nerve roots
Mild ligamentum flavum hypertrophy at l4 l5 and l5 s1 levels
Have been advised to do a surgery,if any one can advice if surgery is really necessary?

If you are having only backpain with no pain going down the back of legs, then with proper pain manage5your pain should improve. Surgery is needed only if the nerve is compressed and it is giving you pain going down the back of your legs
