Not able to sleep...even I get sleepy,when I close my eyes I cannot sleep,took many medications but it's not working...pls guide as I am got depression

Hello Mr Good evening. I wud like to comment . Sleep is very crucial event of day to day life . A sleep duration of 7 to 8 hrs is must for ur age. Any alterations in sleep below or above this range is not good. You sud know the causes of sleep impairment before treating it. Some common reasons for sleep disturbances ,I will enlist here: 1. Normal sleep cycle is disturbed due to late      night work or any other late night habbits. 2. Any medical problem like lungs problem or     breathing or oral cavity problem can lead to     sleep disturbances. 3. Any substance abuse (alcohol, smoking,     tobacco, caffeine ,tea) cause problems in sleep 4. Any illness of Mood , cognition , Thought     impairs sleep . 5. Some Medicines cause sleep disturbances. 6. No evident cause . 7. Environment of ur bedroom also influence the     quality of ur sleep. Many other factors has to be discussed in detail along with ur mental state examination to diagnose the reason of ur sleep disturbances. Diagnosis of depression will be too inappropriate without discussing Everything in detail
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist / Neuropsychiatrist of ur choice and plan an appropriate treatment only after ur diagnosis and reason for ur sleep disorders is rationalised. I will advise you to introduce " Sleep Hygeine" process in ur life ,it is as follows: 1.Morning exercise is must. 2.Afternoon sleep sud be avoided. 3.Night food must be light 4.Dinner must be taken minimum of 2 hrs    before sleep. 5.Excessive Fluid in form water, coldrinks, beer,     alcohol sud be avoided. 6.Smoke , Tobacco, tea , coffee is not good in    need in night for sleep. 7. Room must be cool, calm & dark. 8. Your bed must be solely used for sleep, no     other activities on bed is allowed. 9. If possible change ur bed and room . 10.Before going to bed put ur legs into bucket       of  warm water for 10 mins. There many more process to help you but it too long to discuss here.

Pls don't take any Sleeping pills on ur own OR prescribed  from any source without prescription supervision of only and only Psychiatrist,.otherwise it will destroy ur sleep pattern. Pls don't google anything regarding ur issues bcoz of information provided on int are wrong , vague & confusing, better avoid it. Don't experiment on ur brain .
