Skin steriod damaged skin

Asked for Male, 19 Years

Used Skin shine steriod cream for 1.2 year and after knowing reality of cream i stopped using it, I'm not using the cream since one year because of that my skin color has changed badly i.e it has become dark, more than that it looks damaged and untidy. It has become hard to take care of the skin, its thin now as compared to earlier, the skin become oily in couple of hours. Pls guide me through this situation, I'm a student and this problem is affecting my mental health badly and makes me demotivated when i make conversations with others.
