Skin redness and stingy

Asked for Female, 19 Years

My boyfriend had stuck a wax strip to the back of my leg as a joke and I had lent on it as I had my leg bent and as we took it off the was stuck to my leg. I had tried to wash it off with hot water then tried some soap and it has went all red and stingy. I can't lean or put pressure on it. I tried to go for a shower with the water at the right warmth as I did earlier and I couldn't as it really stung. I am not sure what has happened.
