Skin recovery after injury
Hi, My father had a minor accident more than a month ago. Scooter stand hit his ankle and cut through the skin. Doctor cleaned the wound and put 8 stitches. Healing was slow, so it took 15 days to remove all the stitches. Also the doc said it had a little infection but it is being taken care of. It has been around 5-6 weeks and the wound has worsened. On consulting another doc yesterday, he said the infection has spread and the outer layer has to be removed. I am attaching the images when there were stitches, yesterday before outer layer removal and then after removal. Please let me know if everything is ok and what is to be done now. I dont have a good feeling about the white skin that appears after the removal of top layer. Please help.
