Next Steps
Keep the area clean and dry – Gently clean the lesion with clean cotton and boiled-cooled water twice a day.
Topical antibiotic cream – You can apply a small amount of Mupirocin (T-Bact) ointment on the lesion twice daily for 5–7 days.
Avoid touching or rubbing the area to prevent secondary infection.
Trim baby’s nails and keep them clean to avoid self-inflicted scratches.
