Sir. .I am suffering from a skin disease, which is spreading day by day. I had already consulted to a doctor. He prescribed me to take fluconazole tablet (b.d). But I knew that this medicine prescribed as once a week so I ate only one tabs. Remaining 3 are there. What should I do? I am totally confused. Plz gave me a solution. Should I continue fluconazole tablet b.d or weekly or change medication ?

Yes..Need more specific medicine..Fungal infection.. Also called jock itch, when occurs in groin.. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds..It's mostly circular or round in appearance.. May be red or black in colour.. Treatment depending on the type and severity.. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it..As it has to be differentiated from eczema, bacterial and viral infection, doctor need to see to confirm the diagnosis..So, meet me in my clinic or do direct online consultation by sending photos for detailed information and medicine for treatment.
Hi. As far as photograph is concerned it is looking like fungal only. Fluconazole may not be suficient for proper control of the disease. You need itraconazole or terbinafine for proper control. Duration of treatment will be decided by the spread of disease. So consulting a dermatologist should be your next step.
