Skin dryness and pigmentation
Hi doctor, I have developed sudden dryness and darkening on both sides of my chin area (below the lips) and right below the nose area. The skin feels tight, slightly flaky, and there is a mild burning sensation especially after washing my face or applying moisturizer. I am currently using Cetaphil moisturizer and Himalaya face wash. There is no itching, swelling, or pus — just dryness, burning, and pigmentation. I tried applying aloe vere too sometime before. 10 days before I travelled from Canada to Kerala, and was explored to sun. Not sure if that's the reason. I have been using the same products except Himalaya face wash. I have an event coming up tomorrow and the day after, and I don't know if it's safe for me to use the makeup.

It sounds like allergic contact dermatitis or photo dermatitis. Use a good sunscreen. Visit a dermatologist for mild steroid ointment . It should subside within a week . . Meantime you can apply mild makeup which you have been applying before . No new product to be introduced .

Hi there young lady ... I understand your immediate requirement is to use some sort of make-up in the next 2 days as this function appears important to you. It is the nth hour now and trying to treat your current issue completely may be impossible in such a short time frame. So my suggestion is go ahead and use "water based" make-up and once done, get back to us for an Online Consultation with clear digital pics 📥 of the areas of concern and I will help sort this out ASAP. Enjoy your function for now 🥂 An easy way to connect quickly for a quick resolution will be to use this App's INSTANT ONLINE Consultation 🙏 Alternatively, you can find me or any dermatologist of your choice on Apollo 24/7 linked to this Practo App. This may be best well before your return to Canada.
Health Tips
Avoid OTC products, home remedies, self medications and Dr Google's suggestions 🙏
