Skin discoloration after peeling

Hello, My skin got peeled off (I pulled it a bit too, I guess it my mistake) due to dryness (it became cracky). Now, the pulled up skin looks red(beneath the upper layer skin). I would like to know whether this red coloration is rectify itself after sometime?
