Skin darkening

Asked for Female, 29 Years

I writing on behalf of my husband. Two years back he had some dark patches on his face. Usually he dint have facial hair growth on these patches. Then after a year he suddenly had some dark spots on his chest and belly button similar to the ones on his face and now he had the same dar spots in his ear. Please advice what could it be and the suggested treatment???
