Skin darkened badly

My face tanned very badly..I have tried some creams and even kojivit plus home remedies nothing worked.i m 18 year old boy ..my chest is much fairer than my face..and my face colour is not improving..I m using spf30 40 sunscreen...sir pls help I can't concentrate on studies for this reason..plz help me..
