Skin colour
I am a fair person and live in Ghana. West Africa. Because of the weather here which is mostly hot due to the Sun, my skin gets tanned and most body creams sold here for fair people ends up bleaching your skin making your knuckles black. I'm currently using cocoa butter because of fear of getting my  skin bleached. Already my knuckles look dark due to certain wrong creams I unintentionally used. I also have very visible black spots on my face due to pimples. Can good creams to clear dark spots and also give the skin a nice tone without bleaching considering my location be suggested?  Or probably a routine thing to do naturally. Something that can possibly be available to get here. Thank you

Hi. Very simple. Firstly - use a good sunscreen regularly.  No form of pigmentation treatment is complete without sun protection.  Then you may start using glycolic acid based creams.  You could send in your photos on private consult for a detailed discussion.  Warm regards,  Dr Govind Suresh Mittal,  Therapeia skin hair and ENT centre,  Bengaluru.  #bengalurudermatologist
