Hello,
It looks like tinea manum or fungal infection. Its quite common in humid and moist environment as Mumbai is already humid so its seems obvious. Yes we can treat it at home but then other details and pictures required for confirmed diagnosis
Other differential can be scabies but again I need to ask nocturnal history of generalized itching and family history etc
