Hi,
I am having pain on eyebrow bone since 1month now. I went to ENT and he prescribed me some medication for 7days and told i have polyps in my nose. And can only be cured through surgery that includes mild DNS as well. Wanted to know if, this can be cured without surgery? Or a surgery is must? As i have infection coming back even after surgery. Pain is severe until i take painkillers.

See if you have nasal polyps , they can shrink with usage of topical nasal steroids however recurrence is very likely .
Moreover we need to rule out allergic causes too so that chances of recurrence can be minimised post surgery .
Take a course of antibiotics followed by CT scan of nose and paranasal sinuses for further management.
If sinuses are obliterated , then you will have to undergo surgery . The increased pain complaint also suggests acute on chronic sinusitis issue.
First a scan has to be done to find out the extent of the polyp and DNS
Next medicine has to be used like nasal sprays will be prescribed along with some oral medication
Even after that it’s not reducing then surgery is an option
Hi, if u have nasal polyps, u can use steroid spray for some time, because even after surgery u have to continue the medical management and continue nasal spray, and recurrence is common
But I would suggest getting a CT pns as well, since u have severe headache, surgery can relieve the pain, and u can keep close follow up, depending on ct findings
Have you undergone surgery prior as well?
Need to see your endoscopic findings for better opinion
also you need to do NCCT PNS CORONAL cut and review with report
