I have been taking levera for 4.5 years. Dosage is 250mg in the morning and 750mg at night. Since, medication has started, I have trouble concentrating, experiencing poor memory, less interest in studies and other activities like sports,
reading etc. Also feeling low motivation.
I have experienced seizures thrice. First unprovoked. Second due to missed dose. Third after gradual withdrawal of medicine.
Does levera cause such cognitive and behavioral changes? Should I ask my doctor to change medicine?

Your symptoms are most likely related to the medicine, though it's an excellent anti epileptic medicine. You may have to substitute with a different medicine, under the supervision of your neurologist.Dont Stop/alter the dose abruptly
These are known neuropsychiatric side effects of Levetiracetam (Levera). It can cause mood changes, poor concentration, memory issues, irritability, and low motivation due to its effect on neurotransmitters in the brain.
Next Steps
-Do not stop abruptly (risk of seizures)
-Discuss dose adjustment or drug switch with neurologist
-take Tab Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) 40–50 mg once daily, for 4–6 weeks (may reduce behavioral side effects)
Health Tips
-These side effects are common and reversible after dose change/switch
-Maintain regular sleep and medication timing
-Avoid missing doses (trigger seizures)
-Consult neurologist before any change

Yes, Levera can cause these symptoms. However you must not stop or change this medication without consulting your prescribing doctor or else it may cause another seizure episode
Yes levera can cause such cognitive symptoms but since you have history of 3 episodes of seizures so tapering or stopping of medication should only be done under the suggestion of the consultant doctor.
