The meds you are taking might not be suitable for your body type or dosage might be inappropriate. Stop meds immediately, rest well, eat light, drink plenty of warm water... Have cows ghee in meals.

“Hi, please stop those medicines for now. The mental fog and confusion can happen because Shirahshooladi Vajra Rasa is a strong herbo-mineral drug, especially when combined with Cephagraine. To reverse the side effects, keep the diet very light (khichdi, soups, warm water), stay well hydrated, take proper rest and avoid mental strain. In Ayurveda, we usually use mild detox herbs like Triphala, Guduchi or Amla, and medhya rasayanas like Brahmi or Shankhpushpi to clear the fog—but the exact choice and dose depend fully on your prakriti and present condition. Don’t worry, this can be balanced safely. Best would be to book a consult so I can check details and guide you step by step with the right medicines for both reversal and your headache.”

I understand your concern — you did the right thing by reaching out immediately. Let me explain step by step: ### 1. About the medicines * **Shirah Shuladi Vajra Rasa** – a herbo-mineral Ayurvedic formulation. It may contain **bhasma (purified metals/minerals like mercury, sulphur, etc.)** along with herbal components. These can sometimes cause **neurological side effects (confusion, brain fog, heaviness, fatigue)** if not tolerated well, if the dose is high, or if digestion is weak. * **Cephagraine** – usually made of herbal ingredients (Himalaya’s brand). Less likely to cause confusion by itself, but in combination with rasa aushadhi, it may aggravate Pitta/Vata in some individuals. ### 2. Why you may be experiencing side effects * **Rasa aushadhi sensitivity** – Not everyone tolerates herbo-mineral drugs; if your **Agni (digestion) is weak**, they can produce **ama (toxins)** → mental fog, dullness. * **Overstimulation / imbalance** – These medicines are meant for headache, but in some, they can disturb **manovaha srotas (mind channels)** → confusion, brain fog. * **Dose may be high** for your body type. ### 3. What to do immediately 1. **Stop taking both medicines** until you consult your prescribing doctor again. 2. **Flush out naturally**: * Drink **warm water frequently** (avoid cold). * Take **light, easily digestible food** (khichdi, moong dal soup, rice). * Avoid heavy, oily, spicy food. 3. **To reduce toxicity & fog**: * Take **cow’s ghee (1 tsp melted in warm water or milk)** twice daily if digestion permits → works as a detox for rasa aushadhi side effects. * ******churna** (½–1 tsp with warm water at night) to cleanse channels. * **Coriander or cumin water** to calm Pitta. 4. **Rest** well and avoid overexertion or too much screen time. ### 4. Warning signs — seek urgent medical care if you notice: * Severe dizziness, chest heaviness, tremors * Persistent vomiting * Very low or high pulse * Severe confusion / inability to stay oriented If these occur → go to an emergency room (carry the medicine strips with you). --- ✅ **Next steps:** Stop the medicines, use ghee + light diet, and inform your Ayurvedic doctor immediately. If symptoms don’t improve in 2–3 days or if they worsen, see a physician (allopathic/ayurvedic) to rule out toxicity. Do you want me to suggest a **short Ayurvedic home protocol** (safe herbs, diet, lifestyle) to gradually clear this brain fog without using rasa aushadhi? Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details.

What kind of head ache you had? What was the dose regimen prescribed to you?Dose of shirashooladri vajra rasa is 125-250mg once or twice daily. For the time being stop the medication and better to consult your physician .

Better stop the medication. Always inform practitioners about any concurrent medications to prevent herb-drug or metal-drug interactions. Overall, attention to proper practices, individualized anupana, dietary modifications, and prompt reporting of symptoms are the best ways to minimize side effects while maximizing therapeutic benefits.
Next Steps
Never self-medicate with these medicines; professional supervision ensures correct dosage, preparation, and management of interaction.
Health Tips
Regular monitoring and periodic follow-up are advised to catch issues early, especially during long-term therapy.
