Dear sir/mam..i am sickle cell patient..and my hip is damaged.. doctor has said that it will require surgery on right hip....can hip bone heal itself by proper diet?? Hope for early answers..... Thankyou...

It depends upon extent of damage to the bone... If it's quite large then only surgery will help... Rest n diet will not help much because it's a weight bearing joint so no matter how much precations you take to heal it up , the healing will not take place properly.. Surgery from good hospital will help surely...
