Shoulder Deltoid Muscle pain
I slipped in Bathroom few months ago and my shoulder hit the Edge of step. The pain was unbearable that time but eased a little in a day or two. I got the checkup done with a Shoulder specialist in Sancheti and get the X-ray done but nothing related to bone. But my deltoid muscle pains a lot, means I cannot throw a ball. Otherwise the motion is alright. Attended few physiotherapy sessions also. I want to go for acupuncture and see if it can help. Please advise.

Hello there,,,,well most of the soft tissue and ligament injuries are missed on Xrayz....however if the treating orthopadecian didnt feel the need for furthur investigations so the injury must be blunt in nature and not that serious....so what exactly is your complaint right now? What physiotherapy treatment are you undergoing? What is the nature of your pain?does it pain even at rest or only on moving the shoulder?
Next Steps
there are certain neurotic pain and stiff muscle problems which does respond to accupuncture and dry needling...however there is no documented evidance to support the claim.
Health Tips
do resort back with answers to my queries Regards & take care.
