Shown to pulmonologist, IGE result is 7.1 Iu/ml and PFT results is 93% pre and 96% post. Chest X ray with normal result. Doctor prescribed me Telecast F and formoflo 250 inhaler . But my question is that if test result are ok then why I need to take such medicine. Kindly help me here.

The numerical values are normal (FEV1 and FVC) but the scalloping nature of the slope of the curve shows small airway problem which could have been because of smoking. It is better to take those medicines to revert those changes/stop progression to Frank COPD.
