The feeling of not being able to take a satisfying deep breath or needing to sigh is a pattern very commonly seen with anxiety-related breathing, where the brain feels the air is not enough even when oxygen levels are normal. However, the fact that you feel better sleeping with two pillows (needing the head elevated) is a symptom called orthopnea, which while often benign can sometimes point to the heart or lungs not working at full capacity while lying flat — this needs proper evaluation. Since you are 20 years old, the cause is most likely not serious, but it should not be ignored.
Next Steps
Please get a physical examination, ECG, and chest X-ray done to rule out any cardiac or respiratory cause. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

This may be due to anxiety/panic breathing, acidity/reflux, allergy/asthma, or anemia. Since it is more while lying down and improves with 2 pillows, reflux or breathing-related issue is possible. consult a physician if it repeats. Check CBC, thyroid, ECG, and chest/lung evaluation if needed. Avoid heavy dinner, caffeine, and lying down immediately after food. Go urgent if severe breathlessness, chest pain, fainting, blue lips, wheezing, or oxygen
