Severely Underweight
I have been severely underweight for my entire life and I am now a 31 year old male. Both of my parents were very thin and doctors have always chalked it up to genetics. I am 5'9 and weigh between 100 and 110 pounds. I have never had any symptoms of anemia, iron deficiency, or any signs of malnutrition. My growth was not stunted in puberty and I've always had lots of energy. I was recently told that I am straining my heart and organs and could die young. Is this true? Should I be concerned?
