Severe Tonsillitis
Diagnosed and given antibiotics today for severe Tonsillitis, extreme pain swallowing and in neck due to swelling, in the last few hours my throat seems to have become more and more swollen. I am having difficulty breathing due to pain and small canal, and it is agonising trying to drink and eat. Should I call an ambulance, what can I do about my throat? I also have asthma, pus in the throat, have done salt water Betadine gargling and taken Neurofon. The swelling has persisted & I am home alone

You seem to be suffering from acute pharyngo-tonsillitis which is a common type of throat infection. You may need to take antibiotics and painkillers along with antiseptic mouth gargle for few days for faster recovery
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
