Severe pain and strech in neck
My mother age is 48 .She is suffering from sever neck pain along with back and hand .She can not move her neck in any direction .Pain killer also do not work.what should do for relieve pain

If the pain is travelling to arm and is so severe, you should get her examined. a MRI scan would be needed to rule out any nerve root compression. And treatment would depend on the symptoms n MRI.

If there is pain going down the arm and any weakness, then we need to investigate her neck with an MRI scan to see if there is any nerve compression. Simple painkillers, icepack and gentle stretching can be tried for a few days. If not improving or getting worse, you need to see an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
