Respected Doctor, I am a 20-year-old male. For the past 1 year, I have been dealing with severe mental stress, burnout, anxiety, and depression. Due to this extreme mental fatigue, I am currently experiencing complete "Emotional Numbness"—I am unable to feel any emotions, and I don't feel anything even while listening to music. Along with this, I have intense stiffness and muscle tension in my neck and the back of my head. If I turn my head left or right quickly, it causes significant pain. I have been practicing natural grounding (sunlight and walking barefoot on soil) for the last 6 days, which helped release some suppressed emotions, but my head still feels very heavy and tired. Please guide me on how to overcome this brain fatigue and neck muscle tightness naturally or through proper medical support. Thank you.

Since you are already doing something to help recover it, I believe you are in a relatively much better state than before. Try to do basic neck and upper body exercises to relieve pain, stiffness, muscle tightness, etc. This is all a consequence of stress and inactivity. Having said that, it is important to understand that all these somatic symptoms are primarily grounded in the psychological dysfunction. Your mind has gone into a self preservation mode and creating these bodily symptoms to bring your attention to start doing something about it. To identify and address these psychological/ psychosocial issues, you need weekly counseling sessions. Find a good therapist/psychologist with whom you can share freely and stick to it for minimum 6-8 months (weekly basis). Your psychosomatic symptoms will eventually wither away during the course of therapy.
