Severe Hair Fall Due to Hostel Lifestyle
Hello Doctor, I am a 19-year-old male living in a government-run hostel for the past 2 years. The hostel conditions are not very healthy, with poor nutrition, polluted environment, and hard water for bathing. Because of this, I am experiencing heavy hair fall. The food quality is poor, and I also face stress and irregular sleep. I am a complete teetotaler – I do not take tea, coffee, alcohol, cigarettes, or any such habits. Still, my hair fall continues. Can you please suggest: 1. A good shampoo that is safe and effective for reducing hair fall. 2. A suitable hair oil to promote hair growth. 3. Whether I should take any supplements (like vitamins, biotin, or iron). 4. Tips to protect my hair from hostel lifestyle, pollution, and poor nutrition.

“I advise you to consult a dermatologist online or in person, share clear pictures, and get a personalized treatment plan. Only after proper evaluation can the right medicines (creams/tablets) be prescribed.”
