Dear Sir, your pain seems to be of mechanical nature, as in symptoms u write that it increase on driving, since u make no complain of leg pain it seems that radiation is less likely. First take rest and analgesics for few days then as soon as your pain goes start back strengthening exercise, that will help problem of recurrance of pain.
No driving till ur pain subsides

Firstly your back pain you have not described exactly where it is and you have also not mentioned anything about any radiation.
Considering it is just localised to the lower back and not radiating to the legs or upper back or neck..First thing would be to get a x-ray..based on that further decision can be done..
