Septum deviation
Hello doctor, Myself Monika... I had been operated (septoplasty )once at the age of 13 yrs ... Now my age is 21 yrs and I recently consulted an ent doctor to know solution for my deviated nose. The doctor said, as I was operated at underage, growth of nose is not proper and I also have bilateral inferior turbinate hypertrophy...he advised to go for operation again and he is assuring that air blockage will be cleared, but regarding deviation he told that septum is very thin to shave it again... Is it appropriate to go for operation again?? is there any solution for deviated septum???

Deviated nasal septum if it is symptomatic..then only surgery is indicated...you have bilateral inferior turbinates hypertrophy...it means you have allergic rhinitis..so first treat allergic symptoms by anti-allergic Medicine and steroid nasal spray.. even after the treatment airways not improved then go for surgery...
