The purple color you mentioning might be due to melanin pigment in your gums which is normal. For sensitivity issue, please go to dentist as they would check your oral hygiene status.
Your tooth sensitivity might be due to cavity in your tooth and food impaction might be there due to that so that gums in that area might be swollen that's why it look purplish gums
