I am taking lurafic 40 and amisant 100 for schizophrenia for the last 7 months. I have put on weight. Is this reversible after stopping the medicine?

Hello, Yes, your appetite will decrease and come back to normal. Though when you are on medication its advisable to maintain a healthy diet and exercise to avoid weight gain. If your appetite is increased too much then lowering the dosage or changing to a drug which do not cause weight gain or adding a drug which will help in reducing appetite can be used. Its advisable not to stop medicines on your own as these symptom can relapse if treatment not taken for appropriate period.
