Scalp Psoriasis. Can sa recur?

About 6 years ago my scalp started collecting dirt. Hairfall started after I switched to a different geography. I consulted a physician and he prescribed me medicated selsun shampoo and a garnier conditioner. I continued the medication for more than 8 months in a 2 year span with gaps. Naturally scalp continued collecting dirt. I stopped combing and applying oil in my hair. I grew negligent towards my hair with exception of casual shampoos here and there like himalayas, head and shoulders etc just to clean it out. Around two years ago my scalp started to come off. I totally neglected it. White scalp flakes fill my hair and are noticable in close proximity. I could scratch and pick it off my hair. Hair fall still continues.Flakes havent spread to ears /face they are contained. Today I am diagnosed with Septic Arthritis and I am in consultancy of an orthopaedic surgeon. One of the reasons of SA is scalp Psoriasis. Should I consult a dermatologist too after treatment ? Can SA recur ?
