Roughness of throat
Yesterday night i ate colocassia dish which was liquified. It was hot when i ate and little spicy. I had coughing about 3 or 4 times after that and also felt strange in throat. After that i did betadine gargles which i am continuing since about 4 days and i didn't swallowed saliva for an hour. In the morning when i drank water i felt like some roughness is there in throat and also i had dryness of mouth and it felt like the mouth is little hot from inside. When i swallowed food i had great roughness experience in throat and then i drank too much water and then i felt bit comfortable. I have allergy too in nose but only redness nothing else. It improved a bit since morning but still there is roughness or scratch type sensation in throat. Is it because of dish? And what should i do to relieve faster. I can't drink cold water as it cause cold faster due to weather here

Colocasia commonly known as arbi has a high potential for allergy in some people. Especially when made in the liquid gravy form.. The vegetable if not boiled or cooked properly can cause scratchy feeling in the throat.. Unless you have had it too hot and caused burns in the throat it seems you are having the allergic reaction.. You can use some anti allergic medicine to make it better faster.. Can continue betadine Gargle and warm water intake.. It will get better.. If anything continues then please take an online consult and show your throat to a doctor
