Rotaviral diarrhea
My 11month's daughter is suffering from rotaviral diarrhea. Our doctor have prescribed enterogermina oral suspension twice a day which she has started taking along with the TAXIME-O FORTE syrup & Zn20 suspension and it's been 12 hour past but loose motion is not stopped (happening slowly) and she urinated only two times between this 12 hour. We are giving her ors (Repute RTU) and water as much as possible to avoid dehydration. Is it normal? How long it's gonna take to show effect? Because we do

Diarrhoea will take around 24-48 hours to subside even with medications. Main thing is the germs should get flushed out , then the stools will be normal. Till that time the medications you are giving are enough. Only thing is you need to replace the fluid loss with ORS.
Next Steps
If urine out put is coming down, that means replacement is not enough and baby is going for dehydration. Try to give more ORS and fluids. If still no response in urine output, then consult your paediatrician. Child might need IV fluids.
