Rotatory cuff surgery
My mri scan report mentions - complete tear of supraspinatus tendon with retraction of muscle fibres & complete tear of infraspinatus tendon. I am a senior citizen of 65 yrs. Is surgery a must or any alternate treatment? Can i postpone surrgery t o jan 22 end as I need to attend my 2 daughter's marriage on jan23  2022.pl clarify

Hi, so basically at your age I don't think you need to do very strenuous physical activities requiring shoulder strength . Hence you can choose to skip surgery and simply start your physiotherapy to strengthen the remaining muscles to help assist the torn tendons. Also make sure your vitamin levels are good. Get vitamin d and B12 injections they help in recovery

Hello Which side of your shoulder is affected and is it the dominant side? Do you also have other medical problems like diabetes? The report is of a major tear but would like to know the above details and how much are you affected by it? How did the injury happen?
