I went to see a doctor and he advised me to have a Root canal treatment. Now the price that he told me was 1000 for cleaning/scaling, 3500 for Root canal, 7000 (Iron based crown) / 12000 for the Ceramic based crown). So, what I want to know is, are these prices fair ? Also, Will doing root canal help me ending my sensitivity and pain ? Which one is advisable, iron based crown or Ceramic based crown ?

Price varies according to the quality of materials used... Porcelain fused to metal crowns are cheaper but metal free crowns are more advanced and stronger like zirconia crowns.

Hello sir, the cost for root canal treatment varies, according to your infection and the tooth for which root canal has to be done.... For crowns metal ceramic will be good, but the best crown is Zirconia because it has good strength, stability and aesthetics comparing to ceramic crowns.... In Root canal treatment, if the canals are completely cleaned and sealed off, there won't be any pain or sensitivity in future....
