Rolled only few times
Hello doctors i have a 6.5mobth old baby she was very crying baby since she was small so i was holding her all the time and she used to sleep only in my arms and never in crib and I never gave her floor time my mistake she has met all milestones on dot except rolling i started giving her floor time only when she turned 5months , she barely stays on floor for 5 minutes and she starts crying to pick her up someone has to be next to her then she stays for 40 minutes , however she has rolled only 4-5 times from tummy to back in this 2 months she grabs her toes puts in mouth etc but rolling is not consistent However my pediatrician was not concerned in 6 month appointment But am getting worried So if she has rolled only 3-4 times should I consider it as rolling or not ?

Hello, I understand your concern Rolling can happen anytime between 4–7 months, and some babies do it rarely at first. Since your baby has good head control, grabs toes, brings objects to mouth, and has rolled a few times, it counts as rolling — just not consistent yet. That’s normal. Limited floor/tummy time earlier may delay rolling a bit, but babies usually catch up once they practice more.
Next Steps
Give supervised tummy time 3–4 times/day, gradually increasing to 30–40 min/day Place toys to the side to encourage turning Allow free floor play — avoid prolonged carriers/walkers Respond to cues but don’t pick up immediately when she fusses on the mat — encourage tolerance slowly
Health Tips
Red flags: Not rolling or attempting by 8–9 months Very stiff/very floppy baby Poor head control, not reaching/grasping Loss of previously gained skills

Your baby and her milestones are fine. Do daily massages, they help on strengthening muscles. Best wishes

While the baby's rolling is inconsistent (only 4-5 times from tummy to back in 2 months),  The baby has rolled, so technically she has achieved the milestone, but the infrequency, combined with the late start to floor time (5 months), suggests a need to increase opportunities and practice for rolling.

Baby has rolled over couple of times which means baby has achieved roll over. So nothing to worry But, their are certain things you can do to increase roll over is 1) tummy time 2) encourage side laying play 3) hold toys just out of reach to encourage baby turning, move toys side to side while baby is on their back 4) allow more floor play like firm surface which has better grip 5)allow free movement do not hold or put in swings for longer time 6) let baby continue to play with feet
