This very usual, if she has diabetes or thyroid issue get it corrected. Start physiotherapy and active assisted exercises with a physiotherapist. Get and MRI shoulder done, as most frequently its due to rotator cuff (muscle) tear. And show Orthopedic doctor near you.

Shoulder pain is usually caused by 1. Tenditis 2. Bursitis 3. Muscle tear 4. Arthritis of joint 5. Adhesions ultimately leading to frozen shoulder Etc Treatment options Majority of cases being treated by physiotherapy and medication. Give good results.
