Clinical examination amd some history required before going for investigations. Is she had normal birth? Breach normal delivery or cs? Is there any Deformity in her knees? Does she had normal eating habits? Is there any childhood trauma to knees or hips? Does her gait normal? Dep3nding upon these answers she may require to undergo x rays and if needed further blood investigations..

Pain only in one knee on and off after activity suggests that she should be examined thoroughly by an orthopedic surgeon. We should check the knee , hip as well as her spine for her symptoms. Moreover if she doesn't have history of injury, she should be diagnosed properly and treated accordingly.
