Retroplacental collection
At 18 weeks of pregnancy i had bleeding and in scan there was a retroplacental collection of 1 cc which increased to 2.64 cc in a week. At 20 week of pregnancy i had severe bleeding and doc said collection got cleared and there is only a chink of blood. Now after 4 days again i am having bleeding with clots and the doc said collection size increases to 8 cc and suspected placenta may be separating. I am currently on progesteron and bed rest. Still the doc says i can not say what will happen . I am very scared plz someone guide. Is there no hope left?? Currently almost 21 week pregnanant. No bp no sugar. Why is this happening. Plz reply

If the retroplacental clot has reduced in size it should not be a problem Do the regular antenatal follow up and do the ultrasound scan as advised

I understand this is very scary. A retroplacental collection can cause repeated bleeding and its size may fluctuate. Many pregnancies do continue with strict monitoring, bed rest, and progesterone, though outcomes cannot be predicted with certainty. Seek urgent care if bleeding or pain increases. There is still hope, but close follow-up is essential; an online consultation can be booked to review reports in detail.
