Hi,
I wanted to know if it is ok to continue using Retin A 0.04% gel while trying to conceive? I have been battling comedones and active acne and my dermatologist suggested me the above treatment. However, I recently found out that tretinoin could be harmful during pregnancy. But, if I have only started trying to conceive, is it ok to use this ointment?

though there are no strict guidelines against the use of topical tretinoin. If you are planning to conceive, it's better to refrain from using it and try azelaic or mandelic acid preparation
