Since 1 year or so, at random times, I get sharp pain that lasts few seconds in my ear, which reoccurs every several hours or the next day
It comes on when I use headphones, and especially at the moment of removing them. I use really low volumes but that doesn't help much.
I listened to music at loud volumes hours long in the past, but never been doing that since few months. Recently I've been finding wax after using headphones.
Doctors around are so terrible, I prefer self-diagnosis.

Recurrent ear pain lasting for short time and associated with headphone use is unlikely to be ear origin. You seem to be suffering from temporo Mandibular joint dysfunction which can mimic ear pain. Pressure over the joint because of headphones can cause such kind of ear pain. Usually no treatment is required if pain is not severe and not persistent
