Regarding vaccine covaxin or covishield
Dear sir/ madam, My mother is diabetes patient since 17 years. Her age is 55 years. Her sugar level remains 300 and above. Today her sugar level is 188. Can she take vaccine now? She has an option for covaxin or covishield. Please suggest which vaccine should she take? Covishield or covaxin

Any one of the vaccine should be selected and the second vaccine also should we belong to same company and do not change the vaccines. If it is covaxin ,for the second dose You have to wait for 6 to 8 weeks and if it is covishield then you have to wait for 84 days for the second dose. Try to get blood CRP level test before getting vaccine as a precautionary measure.

Ofcourse she can take vaccine. My choice is Covaxin due to lesser post vaccination side effects. Take care.

Can take any vaccine available two doses.4 to 8 weeks apart Monitoring sugar level is not enough .go for further tests like HBA1c .
