Regarding treatment duration

Asked for Female, 23 Years

I am currently taking veniz xr 75 and 37.5 for postpartum depression and anxiety along with lamitor 25×2 (just started) for severe mood swings. How long will it take to recover fully.? I am tired of taking these medications. Note: I was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

- Duration of treatment for bipolar depends on many factors like duration of total illness, how many episodes of depression and mania, how severe and responsive to treatment are they etc. - any single depressive episode can take around 6 to 8 weeks to get better with medicines. It can take longer in cases of treatment resistant cases. There are steps to follow in patients not responding to initial line of treatment. - so you should discuss all these doubts with your psychiatrist. He is in better situation to guide you. Thanks.
