REgarding rabiese vaccine safty
I have taken 3 shots of rabiese vaccine and i want to know about its safety.is it safe for humans ??as it contains virus and prepared from cells of humans or animals ,is it possible to get other viruses as well? dog who bite is alive after 17 days so i stopped vaccine now ..

Dear,  it's not your wish U need to take five doses as per guideline , 0 ,3, 7,14,28 th day  from the exposure day

Hello. Now a days most rabies vaccines are produced from vero cells , so they very safe. the old vaccines produced from neural tissues  are are obsolete and no longer given in India. you have already taken 3 doses. you can complete the full PEP ie 1 more dose ( taken at 0,3 ,7 14), fifth dose at 28 days is no longer recommended now. as the dog is alive at 17 days he is not suffering from Rabis . for future. if you  ever you get another potential  exposure in future ( god forbit ) you will need to take only 2 doses.
