Regarding optimum blood sugar level
Hello, my father has had angioplasty treatment in February 2019. He has diabetes and high blood pressure for which he's currently taking medicines. Age: 61 Height: 5'6" Weight: 74 kgs. I want to know what should be the optimum blood sugar levels (fasting and 1-2 hours after meals) to be maintained by taking medicines for him? Thank you.

Fasting should be 90-120, 2 hr post meal less than 140-150 according to American diabetes association recommendations as long as his kidney tests are normal. In case of kidney problems, sugars between 100-180 are recommended
